Weekly studio social dances are a great way to practice what you have been learning during your private lessons or group classes! In addition to being good practice, the dances give you an opportunity to meet other dancers who share at least one of the same interests as you do! Be sure to dance with as many different people as possible while you are at the dances- it will help you get better and better at leading or following! If you only ever dance with the same person, you don't get to enjoy the variety, and challenge that different social dance partners provide! No partner is necessary and ALL levels of dance experience are welcome! Please note that you must be 18yrs. of age or older to attend without a parent or legal guardian.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing with good ease of movement. Definitely DANCE SHOES are perfect, but not required. Any soft-soled, non-marking shoe will work fine. We do ask you wear conservative, non-revealing clothing. Ladies, please make sure to wear dance pants under skirts or dresses!

Thursday DANCES are from 8-10 PM and vary from week to week during the month, as follows; 1st Thursday is a LATIN dance with a variety of Cha Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Samba, and Mambo music. 2nd Thursday is a SWING dance with a variety of East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Hustle, and Lindy music. 3rd, 4th, (& 5th) Thursdays are GENERAL dances with a variety of Latin, Swing, and Ballroom music. Thursday dances are free and open to the Public as well as DCBDC Students.

General Friday Night DANCES are from 9- 10 PM immediately following the free Group Class: The Friday Dances are GENERAL which means a variety of Latin, Swing and Ballroom music is played. Friday night general dances are free and open to the Public as well as DCBDC Students.

Student Only Friday Night DANCES are from 10-11 PM for our current Students enrolled in, and currently taking a Social Bronze or above program, we offer a continuation of the Friday night dance from 10:00-11:00pm. Public, and those students enrolled on the Intro Special or any Series Group Classes

may not attend the practice dance from 10:00-11:00pm.
